München

München ist die Landeshauptstadt des Freistaates Bayern. Sie ist die größte Stadt Bayerns und drittgrößte Stadt der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Im Großraum München leben mehr als 2,6 Millionen Menschen.
Der Fahrradverkehr macht 14 Prozent des Verkehrsaufkommens in München aus. Damit ist München Spitzenreiter unter den deutschen Großstädten. Für Radfahrer gibt es im Stadtgebiet etwa 25.000 Fahrradständer. An Haltestellen des öffentlichen Nahverkehrs befinden sich darüber hinaus 50.000 Stellplätze für Fahrräder („Bike-and-ride-Stellplätze“). Seit dem Sommer 2010 nennt sich München auch "Radlhauptstadt".

Munich is the capital of the free state Bavaria. It is the biggest town of Bavaria and third-biggest town of the Federal Republic of Germany. In the metropolitan area Munich live more than 2.6 million people.
The bicycle traffic accounts 14 percent of all traffic in munich. With it Munich is a front-runner under the German cities. For cyclists there are in the city about 25,000 bicycle stands. In addition, in stops of the local public traffic there are 50,000 parking lots for bicycles ("Bike-and-ride-lots"). Since the summer 2010, Munich is also called "biking-capital".

    Garmisch Partenkirchen

    Der bayerische Ort Garmisch Partenkirchen hat 26.000 Einwohner und liegt inmitten eines weiten Talkessels am Zusammenfluss der aus Tirol kommenden Loisach und der im Wettersteingebirge entspringenden Partnach, mit Deutschlands höchstem Berg, der Zugspitze, im Süden.

    The Bavarian town of Garmisch Partenkirchen has 26,000 inhabitants and is situated in a broad basin at the confluence of the Loisach coming from Tyrol and the Partnach springing in Wettersteingebirge, with Germany's highest mountain, the Zugspitze, in the south.

    Zugspitze

    Die phantastische Landschaft der Alpen macht Mountainbiking zu einem Traum. Asphaltierte Radwege, Forst- und Wirtschaftswege, feste und lose Schotterwege, Trails und Pfade gestalten das Höhenmeterfressen zu einem sehr abwechlungsreichen Erlebnis.

    The fantastic scenery of the Alps makes mountain-biking to a dream. Asphalted cycle tracks, forrest- and farm-roads, fixed and loose grit ways, trails and paths make the guzzling of altitude-meters to a very diversified experience.

    Schloss Linderhof & Kloster Ettal

    Schloss Linderhof in der oberbayerischen Gemeinde Ettal wurde vom bayrischen König Ludwig II in mehreren Bauabschnitten von 1869 bis 1886 errichtet.
    Das Kloster Ettal ist eine im Jahr 1330 gegründete Benediktinerabtei im oberbayerischen Dorf Ettal.

    Linderhof Palace (German: Schloss Linderhof) in Germany, in southwest Bavaria near Ettal Abbey, was built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria between the years 1869 to 1886.
    Ettal Abbey is a Benedictine monastery founded in the year 1330 in the village of Ettal in Bavaria, Germany.

    Schloss Hohenschwangau

    Das Schloss Hohenschwangau liegt direkt gegenüber von Schloss Neuschwanstein in der Gemeinde Schwangau in Bayern. Erstmals wurde das Schloss im 12. Jahrhundert als Burg Schwanstein erwähnt. In den folgenden Jahrhunderten wechselten die Besitzer, die Burg verfiel, wurde neu aufgebaut und wieder zerstört. Im Jahr 1832 erwarb König Maximilian II. die Ruine und ließ sie im Stil der Neugotik bis 1837 in den heutigen Zustand umbauen.

    The castle Hohenschwangau lies directly towards the castle Neuschwanstein in municipality Schwangau in Bavaria, Germany. For the first time the castle was mentioned in the 12th century as a castle Schwanstein. During the following centuries the owners changed, the castle went to ruin, was anew built up and destroyed again. In 1832 King Maximilian II acquired the ruins and let convert them in the style of the New Gothic till 1837 in the today's state.

    Schloss Neuschwanstein

    Das Schloss Neuschwanstein steht oberhalb von Hohenschwangau im südlichen Bayern. Der Bau wurde ab 1869 für den bayerischen König Ludwig II. als idealisierte Vorstellung einer Ritterburg aus der Zeit des Mittelalters errichtet. Neuschwanstein ist das berühmteste der Schlösser Ludwigs II.

    The castle Neuschwanstein stands above Hohenschwangau in southern Bavaria, Germany. The construction was established from 1869 for Bavarian King Ludwig II as an idealized image of a knight's castle from the time of the Middle Ages. Neuschwanstein is the most famous one of the Ludwig II's castles.

    Partnachklamm

    Die Partnachklamm ist eine 700 Meter lange und vom Wildbach Partnach teilweise über 80 Meter tief eingeschnittene enge Schlucht nahe Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Die Partnachklamm wurde zum Naturdenkmal erklärt.
    Leider mussten die Fahrräder vor der Schlucht warten :o) ...die Schlucht konnte nur zu Fuß durchstiegen werden.

    The Partnach Gorge (German: Partnachklamm) is a 700 metres long, narrow canyon that has been incised over 80 metres deep by a mountain stream, the Partnach, near the Bavarian town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It was designated as natural monument.
    Unfortunately, the bicycles had to wait outside :o) ...the canyon could be climbed only on foot.

    Chiemsee

    Der Chiemsee, auch „bayerisches Meer“ genannt, ist der größte See in Bayern und der drittgrößte See in Deutschland.
    Bekannt sind zwei seiner Inseln: Auf der Fraueninsel befindet sich ein Nonnenkloster, auf der Herreninsel steht das Schloss Herrenchiemsee von Ludwig II.
    Auf den Schiffen ist die Fahrradmitnahme gestattet. So ist die Querung des Sees und der Besuch der Inseln als interessanter Teil der Radlroute möglich.

    Lake Chiem, also called „Bavarian Sea“, is the biggest lake in Bavaria and the third-biggest lake in Germany. Known are two of its islands: On the women's island there is a monastery, on the man's island there stands the castle Herrenchiemsee of Ludwig II.
    On the ships the entrainment of bicycles is permitted. Thus crossing of the lake and visiting of the islands is possible as an interesting part of the cycling route.
