Das 200 km Brevet "Ostfalens Wasserstraßen" wird (wie die hier gewählte Bezeichnung schon vermuten lässt) in der landschaftlich reizvollen Gegend Ostfalens geradelt. Die Kontrollstellen sind jeweils an Tankstellen, einem Restaurant und mittels einer Kontrollzange. Die verkehrsarme Radlstrecke kreuzt mehrfach Ostfalens Wasserstraßen. So wird z.B. der Mittellandkanal und die Elbe 8x über- bzw. unterquert.
Während der Tour gab es aber auch Wasser in Form von Nieselregen. Erst gegen Ende der Strecke kam die Sonne durch.
Diesmal passierte Manfred wieder ein schusseliges Malheur. Am Startplatz erfolgte der Tausch der Motorradstiefel gegen die Radschuhe. Es waren aber nur zwei linke Radschuhe mitgekommen! Die rechten Radschuhe hatten es vorgezogen zuhause zu bleiben. :-(
Da sich der rechte Fuß in einen der linken Radschuhe hineinzwängen ließ, wollte Manfred damit bis zum nächsten Fahrradladen nach Helmstedt radeln und dort neue Schuhe kaufen. Aber der Fahrradladen war geschlossen und öffnete erst in 40 Minuten. Da die beiden linken Schuhe bis hier hin geradelt waren, entstand der Entschluss, die Tour mit den linken Schuhen weiter zu radeln.
Seit fast einem Jahr hat Manfred Probleme mit seinem rechten Knie. Erstaunlicherweise zog der linke Schuh des rechten Fusses den Schmerz fast vollständig aus dem Knie heraus. So traten bis zum Finish fast keine Knieschmerzen auf. :-) ... sollte Manfred das Tragen von unpassenden Schuhen bei Knieproblemen zum Patent anmelden?? :o)
The 200 km Brevet "Ostfalens Wasserstraßen" (Eastphalia's navigable waterways) is bicycled in the scenic area of Eastphalia. The control points are located at gas stations, at a restaurant or by a control punch. The traffic-low cycle track crosses multiple waterways of Eastphalia. For example, the middleland canal and the river Elbe will be 8x over - or undercrossed.
During the tour there was also water in the form of drizzle. Only towards the end of the track the sun came through the clouds. This time, Manfred was happened again a mischievous mishap. At the starting place the motorcycle boots should be exchanged against the bicycle shoes. But there were only two left bicycle shoes! The right bicycle shoes had preferred staying at home. As the right foot could be squeezed into one of the left bicycle shoes, Manfred wanted to cycle to the next bike store to Helmstedt and buy new shoes there. But the bike shop was closed and opened only in 40 minutes. As the two left shoes were cycled up to this point, Manfred decided, to continue the tour with the left shoes.
For almost a year, Manfred has problems with his right knee. Surprisingly, the left shoe from the right foot pulled the pain almost completely out of the knee. Thus almost no knee pain occurred up to the finish! :-) ... should Manfred the wearing of unsuitable shoes, if knee problems, announce to a patent?? :o) - Album was created 7 years 10 months ago and modified 7 years 4 months ago
