Wöbbel
• Wöbbel liegt im Weserbergland und ist ein eingegliederter Teil der Stadt Schieder-Schwalenberg des Kreises Lippe, Nordrhein-Westfalen. Erstmals wird Wöbbel zwischen 826 und 876 schriftlich erwähnt. Die Evangelische Kirche wurde erstmals 1231 erwähnt und ist Johannes dem Täufer geweiht. Der untere Bereich des Turmes stammt aus dem 12. Jahrhundert. Das Schloss Wöbbel wurde 1690 als Barockbau im holländischen Klassizismus-Stil errichtet, nachdem ein Vorgängerbau im Renaissancestil während des Dreißigjährigen Krieges zerstört wurde. Zum Gebäudetrakt des Schlosses gehören ein Schlossgarten und verschiedene Wirtschaftsgebäude. 9. Große Weserrunde 2018
• Startort/location: Rinteln, Weserbergland | • Startzeit/date: 5:30-8:14, Sa 01.09.2018 Die "Große Weserrunde" ist ein Highlight für Radler im Weserbergland. Der Radmarathon verläuft auf einer landschaftlich wunderschönen Route durch das Weserbergland und zum großen Teil entlang der Weser. Beim 9. Weser-Radmarathon gingen 485 Teilnehmer an den Start. Manfred startete um 5:50 Uhr. Nach morgendlichem kühlem Nebel sorgte die Sonne den ganzen Tag für angenehmes Radlwetter. Wegen der guten Verpflegung an den Verpflegungsstationen konnte man leicht Zeit vertrödeln und vergessen, den Marathon fortzuführen. :-) Das sonnige Wetter, die wunderschöne Strecke, die gute Verpflegung und die tadellose Organisation machten die "Große Weserrunde" wieder zu einem Genuß. Im nächsten Jahr wird die "10. Große Weserrunde" am 31.08. stattfinden. "Große Weserrunde" is a highlight for cyclists in the Weser Uplands. The bicycle marathon runs along a scenic route through the Weser Uplands and largely along the river Weser. At the 9th Weser cycling marathon, 485 cyclists took part. Manfred started at 5 50 o'clock. After a cool morning mist, the sun made pleasant cycling weather all day long. Because of the good food at the food stations it was easy to waste time and forget to continue the marathon. :-) The sunny weather, the beautiful route, the good food and the impeccable organization made "Große Weserrunde" again a pleasure. Schloss Barntrup
• Das Anwesen in Barntrup war das erste Schloss, dass mit den Stilelementen der Weserrenaissance erbaut wurde. Bauherrin war Anna von Canstein. Sie heiratete 1567 den Söldnerführer Franz von Kerßenbrock. Das Anwesen ist deshalb auch als Kerßenbrocksches Schloss bekannt. • The property in Barntrup was the first castle that was built with the elements of the Weser Renaissance style. Building owner was Anna von Canstein. She married in 1567 a mercenary leader Franz von Kerssenbrock. Lügde
• Lügde ist eine kleine Stadt in Lippe, Nordrhein-Westfalen. Sie liegt im Weserbergland und gehört zum Naturpark Teutoburger Wald / Eggegebirge. Im Jahr 784 wurde Lügde zum erstenmal urkundlich erwähnt. Lügde trägt offiziell den Titel "Stadt der Osterräder". Das Kulturereignis Osterräderlauf hat heidnischen Ursprung und ist über tausend Jahre alt. Das Osterfeuer soll die bösen Geister vertreiben. Die brennenden Räder symbolisieren die Sonne, die im Frühling das Dunkel des Winters besiegt. Der Osterräderlauf findet immer am Abend des ersten Ostertages statt. Es werden sechs Eichenholz-Räder, 1,70m Durchmesser und 300kg schwer, mit je 120kg Roggenstroh bepackt. Auf dem Osterberg wird das Stroh angezündet und die Räder werden den Berg hinunter gestoßen. Die großen, schweren Räder rollen dann mit großen Flammen brennend den Abhang hinunter. • Lügde is a small town in Lippe, North Rhine-Westphalia. It is in the Weser Uplands and belongs to the nature reserve Teutoburger Forrest / Egge Highlands. In the year 784, Lügde was mentioned for the first time in a document. Lügde officially carries the title "Town of the Easter-wheels". The cultural event Easter-wheels-run is a more than thousand years old tradition and has pagan origin. The Easter fire should expel the bad evil spirits. The burning wheels symbolize the sun which in springtime defeats the darkness of the winter. The Easter-wheels-run takes place always in the evening of the first Easter day. Six oak wheels, 1.70 m diameter and 300 kg heavy, are packed each with 120 kg of rye straw. On the hill Osterberg, the straw is lit and then the wheels are pushed downhill. Wilhelmshöhe - Bergpark
• An der südlichen Grenze des Weserberglandes im nordhessischen Habichtswald befindet sich der Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe. Wilhelmshöhe ist der größte Bergpark in Europa und ist als UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe anerkannt. Der Bau des Parks begann 1696 und dauerte etwa 150 Jahre. Der Park ist insbesondere durch die in ihm befindlichen Wasserspiele, den Herkules mit gleichnamiger Statue, das Schloss Wilhelmshöhe und die Ruine Löwenburg bekannt. • At the southern border of the Weser Uplands in northern Hesse is the mountain park Wilhelmshöhe. Wilhelmshöhe is the largest mountain park in Europe and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage. Construction of the park began in 1696 and took about 150 years. Detmold - Freilichtmuseum
• Das Freilichtmuseum in Detmold ist ein Denkmal bäuerlicher Kultur. Hauptsächlich wird das bäuerliche Leben in der Zeit von 1550 bis 1800 dargestellt sowie alte Tierrassen und Pflanzenarten gezeigt. Mit einer Fläche von 90 Hektar und etwa 120 Gebäuden ist es das größte Freilichtmuseum Deutschlands. • The open-air museum in Detmold is a monument of rural culture. Rural life is represented mainly in the period from 1550 to 1800 and old breeds of animal and plant species are shown. Minden - Wasserstraßenkreuz
• Durch das Wasserstraßenkreuz Minden, am nördlichen Rand des Weserberglandes, wird der Mittellandkanal über die schiffbare Weser geführt. Seit 1915 quert der Mittellandkanal das Wesertal in einer 370 m langen Beton-Trogbrücke in 13m Meter Höhe über der Weser. Im Laufe der Jahre wurden die Schiffe größer und der Kanal wurde zu klein. So wurde 1998 eine neue Stahlbrücke eröffnet, die parallel zur alten Brücke verläuft. Damit die Schifffahrt zwischen Fluss und Kanal wechseln kann, wird der 13 m Höhenunterschied durch Schleusen überwunden. • By the Minden Aqueduct, on the northern edge of the Weser Uplands, the Mittelland Canal is led over the navigable Weser river. Since 1915, the Mittelland Canal crosses the Weser valley in a 370 m long concrete trough bridge 13 m high above the Weser river. Over the years, ships became larger and so the canal grew too small. Thus in 1998 a new steel bridge was opened, which runs parralel to the old bridge.
