Trieste (deutsch: Triest) ist eine norditalienische Hafenstadt an der oberen Adria, direkt an der Grenze zu Slowenien. Kevelaer
Die Stadt Kevelaer liegt am Niederrhein im Nordwesten des Bundeslandes Nordrhein-Westfalen. Kevelaer ist in kultureller und touristischer Hinsicht interessant und bekannt als bedeutender Marienwallfahrtsort. Im autofreien Zentrum der Stadt liegt der Kapellenplatz mit der Gnadenkapelle, der Marienbasilika, der Kerzenkapelle und der Beichtkapelle. In der Fußgängerzone um den Kapellenplatz befinden sich zahlreiche Cafés und Restaurants. Der Ortsteil Twisteden ist Startort von Randonneur-Brevets. The town of Kevelaer is located on the lower Rhine in the Northwest of the German State North Rhine-Westphalia. Kevelaer is interesting in cultural and tourist terms and known as important pilgrimage place. In the car-free city-center is the Chapels Square with Grace Chapel, Mary's Basilica, Candle Chapel and Confession Chapel. In the traffic-free environment around the Chapels Square are numerous cafés and restaurants. Castel Vecchio is the most important military construction of the Scaliger dynasty that ruled the city in the Middle Ages. 2. Große Weserrunde 2011
Die "Große Weserrunde" ist eine erlebnisreiche Radltour auf einer landschaftlich wunderschönen Route entlang der Weser und durch das Weserbergland. Das gemeinsame Bewältigen der 300 km langen Strecke zusammen mit anderen Radlern ist ein wesentlicher Teil des Erlebnisses. Die Idee zu der Herausforderung im Weserbergland hatte Manfreds Freund Andreas auf der jährlich stattfindenden Vätterrundan in Schweden. Andreas organisierte zum 1. Oktober 2011 die 2. Große Weserrunde. Start- und Zielort war das Schiller-Gymnasium in Hameln. Die Tour fand wieder bei fantastisch sonnigem Herbstwetter statt.
