Peugeot - French vehicle manufacturer

In 1881, Peugeot began manufacturing bicycles.
In 1906, Peugeot bicycles were fitted with a two-speed hub gearbox for the first time.
Peugeot sponsored the first Tour de France winner in 1905.
Until 1986 Peugeot maintained a pro sports cycling team of the same name.
