Südharz - Burgruine Honstein
• Die Burg Honstein wurde um 1120 erbaut. Mit einer Gesamtausdehnung von 140 Metern in der Länge und bis zu 68 Metern in der Breite ist diese Burgruine eine der größten im Harzgebiet. Die Burg wurde Stammsitz der Grafen von Honstein. Im Jahr 1412 führte ein Familienstreit zum sogenannten Fleglerkrieg, in dessen Folge die Hohnsteiner Grafen ihre Stammburg verloren. Burg Hohnstein kam in den Besitz der Grafen zu Stolberg. 1627 wurde die Burg durch kaiserliche Truppen in Brand gesetzt und zerstört. Im Laufe der folgenden Jahrhunderte verfiel die Burgruine immer mehr. • Honstein castle was built around 1120. With a total length of 140 meters and a width of up to 68 meters, this castle ruin is one of the largest in the Harz region. The castle became the ancestral seat of the Counts of Honstein. • Stolberg ist ein Ort mit etwa 1400 Einwohnern im Südharz in Sachsen-Anhalt. Stolberg ist bekannt als Luftkurort sowie Historische Europastadt. Markenzeichen sind die vielen Fachwerkhäuser im Renaissancestil. Der Ort entstand um das Jahr 1000 als Bergmannssiedlung, wobei bereits seit 794 in der Gegend Bergbau nachweisbar ist. Schon in alten Zeiten wurden hier Eisen, Kupfer, Silber, Zinn und Gold gefördert. • Stolberg is a place with about 1400 inhabitants in the southern Harz Mountains in Saxony-Anhalt. Stolberg is known as a climatic health resort and historical European city. Trademarks are the many half-timbered houses in the Renaissance style. The place originated around the year 1000 as a miners' settlement, although mining has been documented in the area since 794. Rinteln - Altstadt
• Rinteln ist eine niedersächsische Stadt im Weserbergland. Rinteln liegt an der Weser und ist etwa 20 km von Hameln entfernt. Die Altstadt ist von zahlreichen Fachwerkhäusern geprägt. Im Mittelalter wurde die Stadt von einer Stadtmaurer umschlossen. In der Neuzeit wurde die Stadtmauer zur Festung ausgebaut. Von 1619 bis 1810 war Rinteln zudem Universitätsstadt. In Rinteln gibt einen Fahrraddraisinen-Bahnhof. Die stillgelegte Extertal-Eisenbahnlinie ist mittels Draisinen nutzbar. Rinteln ist zudem Start und Ziel des Radmarathons "Große Weserrunde". • Rinteln is a small town in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is located on the banks of the river Weser in the Weser Uplands, just 20 kilometers from Hamelin. The old town is picturesque affected by numerous half-timbered houses. In the middle ages Rinteln was surrounded by a town wall. In the modern ages the town wall was expanded and Rinteln became a fortress. From 1621 until 1810, Rinteln was the seat of Ernestina University. Rinteln has a bicycle trolley station. The given up Extertal-railway is usable by bicycle trolleys. Wasserschloss Hehlen
• Das Wasserschloss Hehlen im Landkreis Holzminden liegt direkt am Weserradweg. Es gilt als eines der frühesten Schlösser im Stil der Weserrenaissance. Das Schloss wurde 1584 als dreistöckiger Bau aus Kalkbruchstein fertiggestellt. Die quadratische Vierflügelanlage mit geschlossenem Innenhof hatte ursprünglich eine verputzte Fassade. Heute zeigen sich die Außenflächen als unverputztes Bruchsteinmauerwerk. Das Schloss hat vier Türme. An der Schlossaußenseite stehen in der Südost- und Nordwestecke zwei Rundtürme mit welscher Dachhaube. Innen im Schlosshof stehen an denselben Ecken zwei polygonale Treppentürme. Das Schloss ist von einem Wassergraben umgeben. Den Zugang zum Schlossinnenhof ermöglicht eine Brücke über den Wassergraben im Südwesten. Schloss Hehlen befindet sich in Privatbesitz. • The moated castle Hehlen in the district Holzminden is located directly on the Weser cycle path. It is considered to be one of the earliest castles in the Weser Renaissance style. The castle was completed in 1584 as a three-story building made of crushed limestone. The square four-wing complex with a closed inner courtyard originally had a plastered facade. Today, the outer surfaces appear as unplastered quarry stone masonry. The castle has four towers. On the outside of the castle there are two round towers with a Welsh roof hood in the south-east and north-west corners. Inside the castle courtyard there are two polygonal stair towers at the same corners. The castle is surrounded by a moat. A bridge over the moat in the south-west allows access to the inner courtyard of the palace. Schloss Bückeburg
• Die Bückeburg wurde 1304 als Wasserburg gegründet. Ab 1560 ließ Otto IV. von Schaumburg die Burg als repräsentatives Renaissance-Schloss umbauen. 1732 brannten einige Teile des Schlosses ab. Die abgebrannten Gebäudeteile wurden im Barock-Stil erneuert. • Bueckeburg was founded 1304 as a moated castle. From 1560 Otto IV of Schaumburg let the castle renewed as a representative Renaissance chateau. In 1732 some parts of the castle burned down. Blomberg
• Blomberg ist eine Stadt in Lippe, Nordrhein-Westfalen. Blomberg besitzt eine gut erhaltene historische Altstadt mit rund 250 Fachwerkhäusern. Die erste Besiedlung des Stadtgebietes fand zwischen dem 6. und 8. Jahrhundert statt. Um die bestehende Burg entwickelte sich ein wichtiger Handelsplatz. Mitte des 13. Jahrhunderts erfolgte die Stadtgründung durch den Grafen Bernhard III. zur Lippe. Heute hat die Stadt rund 16.000 Einwohner. Wanderer oder Biker können auf den markierten Rad- und Wanderwegen die waldreiche Naturlandschaft Blombergs erkunden. • Blomberg is a town in Lippe, North Rhine-Westphalia. Blomberg owns a well-preserved historical Old Town with about 250 timber frame houses. The first settlement of the city took place between the 6th and 8th century. Around the existing castle an important commercial place developed. At the middle of 13th century Count Bernhard III to Lippe founded the town. Today the town has about 16,000 inhabitants.
