Warburg - Altstadt

• Die Hansestadt Warburg ist eine historische Mittelstadt der Warburger Börde im östlichen Nordrhein-Westfalen.
Warburg wurde um 1010 erstmals urkundlich erwähnt. Die im 14. Jahrhundert errichtete Stadtbefestigung mit fünf Wehrtürmen und zwei Stadttoren, sowie Reste der mittelalterlichen Stadtmauer sind bis heute erhalten. Das Stadtbild ist durch historische Bauten, Stein- und Fachwerkhäuser und durch die Lage auf einem Bergrücken geprägt.

• The Hanseatic City of Warburg is a historic medium-sized town in the Warburg Börde region of eastern North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany.
Warburg was first mentioned in documents around 1010. The city fortifications, built in the 14th century, with five defensive towers and two city gates, as well as remnants of the medieval city wall, have been preserved to this day. The cityscape is characterized by historic buildings, stone and half-timbered houses, and by its location on a mountain ridge.
