• Bueckeburg was founded 1304 as a moated castle. From 1560 Otto IV of Schaumburg let the castle renewed as a representative Renaissance chateau. In 1732 some parts of the castle burned down. The burnt down parts were renewed in the Baroque style.

I think it would be so cool to visit an old mausoleum like the one here. You could learn so much about how they prepared for the funerals and whatnot. I think it would be fun to learn more about them. I wonder if they still make them.

Yes, dear Olga, of course! ...but I will practice to ride up stairs. ;-))
At the mausoleum there were some cyclists who could do it! I've just uploaded a photo.
          Please look:

Yes, yes, now reminds me! Thank you, dear Olga! As a young man I also could do this.
But you know, now I am 58...
...motion without wheels is utterly exhausting ...and climbing up the stairs by feet becomes nearly impossible ;o(
Luckily in Germany there are often special barrier free ways for old people! ;o)))

Ah! Oh! I regret. I not knew nothing about your age, I was tactless. But you have good memory for your years.

Thanks, you are very nice to me! :-D
...but you give me again a good idea for my next cycling trip! As the next I will ride to the renaissance castle Hasperde! Castle Hasperde is used now as a residential home for the elderly.
What do you think: should I look there already for an apartment? :o))

I will to see your marathons still. :-)

Yes, dear Olga, it is frightening that the destruction of cultural monuments can be seen as a fulfilment of a revolutionary task.
