Schloss Brake

• In Lemgo, Nordrhein-Westfalen, wurde 1190 eine steinerne Burg errichtet, die 1306 erstmals als "castrum brac" schriftlich erwähnt wurde. Graf Simon VI. zur Lippe baute 1587 die Burg zum Wasserschloß im Stil der Weserrenaissance um. Seit 1986 befindet sich im Schloss Brake das Weserrenaissance-Museum.

• In Lemgo, North Rhine-Westphalia, 1190 a stone castle was established. The castle was mentioned 1306 for the first time in writing as 'castrum brac'. In 1587 Count Simon VI. zur Lippe converted the moated castle into the style of the Weser Renaissance. Since 1986 the Weser Renaissance museum is located in castle Brake.
