Horn - verlassenes Kalkwerk am Schüsselgrund

• Im Jahr 1915 wurde das vier Gebäude umfassende Kalkwerk am Schüsselgrund bei Horn erbaut und bestand aus dem noch heute sichtbaren Kalkofen, einem Brücken- sowie Nebengebäude und zwei Silos. Nach 42 Produktionsjahren wurde 1957 die Produktion eingestellt. 1994 wurden dann, nach vorherigem Abriss des Brücken- sowie Nebengebäudes, die beiden Silotürme gesprengt. Der Kalkofen aus Beton ist das einzige, was heute noch übrig geblieben ist. Heute steht das alte Industrierelikt einsam und verlassen mitten im Wald.

• In 1915, the four-building limeworks was built on Schüsselgrund near Horn and consisted of the lime kiln that is still visible today, a bridge and outbuildings and two silos. After 42 years of production, production stopped in 1957. In 1994, after the bridge and outbuildings were demolished, the two silo towers were blown up. The concrete lime kiln is the only thing left today. Today the old industrial relic stands alone and abandoned in the middle of the forest.
