The sugar factory operates here in the months of September to February. If the ground is not frozen, the sugar beets are easier to harvest. Until the transport to the sugar factory, the beets are stored as shown in the photo. During storage, high temperatures are more harmful than frost! From a temperature sum of 270 degrees the damage to the beets is expected. The temperature sum is the sum of the daily average temperatures above 0°C.
For example, at average daytime temperatures of +5°C, the harvested beets can be stored for 54 days.
At average daytime temperatures of +10°C, the harvested beets can be stored only for 27 days.
Thanks, MarBess! Because the sun was blinding me, when I was photographing, I could not see, whether the photo shows a worthwhile result. Only at home on the computer, I saw that the camera not worked badly.
Ha,ha,ha!!! If Manfred, didn t made a photo of these berries and laid them out, I wouldn’t have known what it was. And when I saw, I remembered that I also had such a photo, but I did not know the name. And unlike Manfred, I didn’t bother to search ... And the inquisitive mind of M prompted me to cheсk my thoughts on Wikipedia... :-)))
Of course you know, how babies are made. The stork can be seen flying over rooftops with a little cloth bundle before landing at the doorstep of a happy couple who then unwrap their precious, smiling newborn. :o)
I like it! It s not so difficult to shut the sunset. It s more difficult to make a photo of sunrise... I had done it only one time, in Finland. It ought to go up at 4 o clock in the morning!!!
