Dear Marbess, thanks for the flattering words!  I am glad  :-)
...and I am amazed, which overdone impression the photos of a mad cyclist are generating!  :o)

Hello, my dearest Manfred--WOWWW!  You're still the World's Sexiest Biker!!!  Thank you, Sweetie, for brightening my world--a truly priceless and treasured gift.

I've sincerely missed being able to view your amazing albums this past year; however, my health issues have gotten worse.  Any time I try to read or peruse some of the outstanding photographs from some of my favorite photographers, I fall asleep.  It's not only frustrating, but annoying as well.  At any rate, dearest Manfred, I hope I'm able to take a few days and join you on a few of your outstanding tours of the various parts of Europe.  Since I'm no longer able to travel--even to the grocery store less than a mile from my home--the breathtaking photographs taken by so many of you have made it possible for me to still see the world.  With all the unrest and chaos in today's world, this is the safest way for me to do some sightseeing.  Besides, it's cheaper; I don't suffer with jet leg; and I get to see the very best of whatever part of the world I happen to be touring.  "Thank you" is so inadequate when it comes to expressing my gratitude to all of you photographers for sharing your numerous pictures; and for providing this "lil ole lady" with a way to still visit this vast world of ours.

The last time I was in contact with you was a few weeks following your major accident.  I was so terribly upset at reading what had taken place; and I thought you would have to give up your greatest joy of biking.  I'm so delighted I was proven wrong, my dearest Manfred.  You are a fighter!  And you certainly don't let anything get you down for long.  I also believe you are an example of a "walking miracle".  With the amount of injuries you sustained during that particular accident, I am surprised you were able to walk again--let alone compete in the numerous bike-a-thons.  God bless you always.

I love the above capture of you.  The bench on which you are sitting is quite unusual; and it would definitely look great in my back yard.  I don't think, however, that bench would be so easy to move; and I guess that's why it has remained in that spot for so long.  Your bike looks like it's in dire need of a change of tires.  Considering the number of tires you bikers use during the various competitions, I should look into purchasing stock in a manufacturer of biking tires.  LOL!

Please know, my dearest Manfred, that even though I've neglected visiting and/or writing to you these past months, you are nevertheless always in my thoughts.  Thanks to Fotki, I have enjoyed writing to about six of you lovely individuals from your corner of the world.  Were I in better health, I would love to have all of you stay with me in my home for a week or 10 days.  That is my greatest wish.  I did this two years in a row with a Fibromyalgia Support Group to which I belonged.  Each time, I picked a long holiday weekend for our gathering; but a few of them remained with me for a week to 10 days.  There were 14 members in the group--half from the USA and half from Canada.  It was a wonderful and memorable gathering.  Even though none of us had ever met, we all felt like we had been born sisters who were separated at birth--and this was our first homecoming.

Since we all had FM and CFS, we were all aware of each other's strengths and weaknesses.  Everyone chipped in for meal preparations, bed making, etc.  I never prepared a meal or washed a dish the entire weekend.  I don't treat my guest like company, but more like family members.  If they want to raid the frig or watch TV--or whatever--they are welcomed to do so.  Everyone had such an enjoyable time that we made plans to have another gathering the next year.

May you have a beautiful and safe autumn season, my dearest Manfred.  In the meantime, please take gentle care of yourself.  Sending you lots of warm, gentle hugs across the pond.

    Luv ya bunches!
    Sweet Caroline

Wow, Sweet Caroline, thanks for this long and nice comment!

I realize, that I am still being the only biker you know!  - In comparison to nobody, I am always the best one!  :o)

Yes, the bench is really unusual. When I cycled past, it invited me compellingly to a break.  :-)

      Stay healthy and enjoy life!
      Your Manfred
