I guess, that the binomial genus is 'Silene',
    English name: 'Campion',
    Deutscher Name: 'Lichtnelke'.
The 10-leaved blossoms open only in the evening or during bad weather !-)

This is such a beautiful flower. At first, I thought it was a stalk of silk flowers since its shape was so perfect. It must be breathtaking to come upon scattered patches of this along the highway. Beautiful capture, indeed.

    Luv ya!
    Sweet Caroline

During bright days and with sunshine these flowers keep a low profile. During dark days or in the dawn the blossoms open and form brightly visible colour spots in the road edge :-)
