Sometimes Manfred would like to rest on a couch and lay his legs high. Therefore, Santa Claus had brought a parcel from the Dutch carbon ligfietsen producer M5. In the parcel was a frame rack, with which Manfred built a couch :-) In the meantime Manfred pedaled some thousands kilometres recumbently. His experiences in riding the couch you find here: https://manfred-tinebor.fotki.com/journals/couch-surfing/ To get a little impression of riding the couch speedy, please watch the video recorded on a country road in Lower Saxony between Polle and Bad Pyrmont: https://manfred-tinebor.fotki.com/journals/manfreds-videos/entry/wqtfrbtwwtqqq/
Almost unbelievable, but this couch drives really!!! Look here: http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=L2FqFd9PXYc :-)) This double-seater couch generated in Manfred the desire to move with an own, but single-seater couch! :o)
Yes, the couchbike is really amusing. I can well imagine, that it is a great fun for two, to cycle with the couch in the nature and to enjoy rest at an idyllic place ;-))
And I imagine such couchbike on our roads (for example, Moscow-Yaroslavl:)))) where practically anywhere there is no reserve strip, and in some places it is necessary to go on sand:))), and around - huge camions and cars:)))...
Dear Hellen, you're absolutely right. With the wide part, I would also not drive on any German street. If you will ride, nevertheless, the bicycle marathon Moscow-Yaroslavl, please use another pedal driven vehicle! :-)) Therefore, my couch is narrow with a single seat. I'm trying to build my couch so, that it will be comfortable but suitable for bike marathons on Russia's roads.
