Motovun

Motovun is a small Croatian town in Istria. It is located on a steep hill, overlooking the valley of Mirna. Already for pre-Roman peoples the hill served as a refuge. The current architecture of Motovun comes from the Venetian Republic from the 13th to the 18th century. For the today's tourism, especially the truffles, which are found in the woods below the hill of Motovun, play an important role.

I had never eaten pasta with truffles. It tasted really exceptionally good!
...but the portion was not enough to build up strength for the next day.
The energy requirement of my bike in the hills of Istria is much bigger! Well that there was still a plentiful dinner in the training camp!  :-)
