Cabo De Gata

"Cabo De Gata" is a peninsula, that is stated as a nature reserve in the southeast of Spain. Because of the very warm and dry climate the vegetation is unique for European circumstances.
The coastal line of the "Cabo de Gata" is cleft, the hinterland is mountainous with volcanic origin. On the edge of the nature reserve wide surfaces are covered with tomato plantations, so-called "Mar Plastico" :-))
"Cabo de Gata" is near the desert of Tabernas and was used by some films (e.g. "Indiana Jones" u. "Once Upon a Time in the West") as location.

Wonderful trip! 600 km have allowed a lot to see and get a lot of enjoyment!

After the winter break with poor movement, the trip had exactly the right mixture between
      - inspection of attractive surroundings,
      - wholesome movement and
      - joy of life!  :-)

On the organised round trips we had an escort vehicle. Here we have a catering break.

:-))   Dear Olga, you already know: An old man needs comforts!  :o))
About the roads in Andalucia I was surprised too. All country roads are in a top state! Nowhere I have seen such good roads with so little traffic! I think that the European bicycle tourists this area will soon populate.

I was too lazy and there was so much to look!

I rode in Andalucia only a little bit more than 600 km.

To move my heavy body uphill, I have fitted my own gear with big translation at the lent bicycle:
My friends call my big gear wheel: "pizza baking tray"  :o)))
