Yes dear Elena. With a light bike you are able to accelerate faster and you can climb hills quicker than with an heavy bike. :-) On flat roads you detect no fundamental difference. On flat road it is more important that you are aerodynamical!
I've thought once again about your question. I must correct my first answer: No dear Elena, cycling on a light bicycle is not easier than on a heavy! You will only become faster ;-)))
