Zu den bereits bestehenden e-Bikes gibt es nun eine Alternative: Die französische Firma Pragma Industries entwickelte in Biarritz das erste serienmäßige Wasserstoff-Bike mit Brenstoffzellen. Der E-Mittelmotor kommt von der Firma Brose. Das komplette Bike wird vom Reifenhersteller Michelin montiert.
Die aktuelle Reichweite des H2-Rades geben die Franzosen mit 100 Kilometer an. Im Unterschied zu stundenlangem Laden an der Steckdose, dauert der Tankvorgang beim H2-Rad etwa zwei Minuten.
