    Never thought that it may be in Germany, but not near Viborg... in order to bring that wood to Finland...

      The private forests in Germany are treated according to economic aspects. Young trees are planted and old trees are harvested. The spruces should not get too old. Very old spruce trees become susceptible to storm and bark beetles. Mostly, the spruces are harvested when the trunk diameter is 30-50 cm.
