In the year 1468 a woman called Alheyd Pustekoke stole consecrated donations from the Martini church. Because of the fear of discovery, she threw the loot into a fountain. However, Alheyd's theft was uncovered and to her punishment she was burnt on the pyre!
...It is no longer to assess, whether the burning of Alheyd at the stake was a witch trial. In any case, after Alheyds death, the fountain got miraculous healing powers, that made Blomberg to a place of pilgrimage.
