Schloss Varenholz

• Das Schloss Varenholz befindet sich südlich der Weser in der Ortschaft Varenholz der Gemeinde Kalletal.
Erstmals im Jahr 1188 wurde dort eine Burg erwähnt. Zwischen 1591 und 1600 ließ Graf Simon VI. zu Lippe das Schloss im Stil der Weserrenaissance umbauen.
Heute wird das Schloss als Privatschulinternat genutzt.

• Varenholz Castle is located south of the Weser river in the village Varenholz of municipality Kalletal in the district of Lippe.
For the first time in 1188 a castle was mentioned there. Between 1591 and 1600, Count Simon VI. To Lippe rebuilt the castle into the Weser Renaissance style.
Today the castle is used as a private boarding school.
